OCDE Project GLAD® Trainers In-Training (Tier II) are individuals who have been accepted into the OCDE Project GLAD® National Training Center Program.
The 3-Day Workshop and 5-Day Demonstration will assist Training Teams in building the foundational knowledge and skills related to presenting, coaching, mentoring, facilitating and consulting required to successfully complete OCDE Project GLAD® NTC Agency Trainer (Tier III) certification. Tier II training and certification prepares trainers to lead change, implementation and sustainability in their own communities.
STEPS IN DEVELOPING TRAINERS-IN-TRAINING
Complete OCDE Project GLAD® Tier I Training with Master Trainers and practice applying strategies (12 months minimum).
Complete and submit the OCDE Project GLAD® Tier II Training application for interested educators pursuing becoming a trainer (2-4 individuals per team).
Submit training materials for feedback and evaluation by the National Training Center or Regional Training Center.
Upon acceptance into the program, attend OCDE Project GLAD® Tier II Training with the National Training Center or Regional Training Center, including a 3-Day Workshop and a 5-Day Demonstration.
Complete and pass certification. This includes a 2-Day Research & Theory Workshop and 4-Day Classroom Demonstration. Upon successful completion of Tier II Training, educators gain Master Trainer status and are sanctioned to provide OCDE Project GLAD® Tier I Training.
