ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

OCDE Project GLAD® Trainers In-Training are individuals who have been accepted into the OCDE Project GLAD® National Training Center Certification Program.

Becoming an OCDE Project GLAD® NTC Agency Trainer requires a team of 2-5 individuals to do the following:

  • Attend Foundations Training
  • Regularly practice Project GLAD® strategies in the classroom
  • Attend the Advanced 3-Day Research & Theory Workshop and Advanced 5-Day Classroom Demonstration
  • Complete and pass Certification

STEPS IN DEVELOPING TRAINERS IN-TRAINING:

STEP 1

Complete OCDE Project GLAD® Training with Master Trainers and practice applying strategies (12 months minimum).

STEP 2

Complete and submit the OCDE Project GLAD® Training application for interested educators pursuing becoming a trainer (2-4 individuals per team).

STEP 3

Upon acceptance into the program, attend OCDE Project GLAD® Training with the National Training Center or Regional Training Center, including a 3-Day Advanced Research & Theory Workshop and a 5-Day Advanced Classroom Demonstration.

STEP 4

Complete and pass Certification. This includes a 2-Day Research & Theory Workshop and 4-Day Classroom Demonstration.  Upon successful completion of Training, educators gain Agency Trainer status and are sanctioned to provide OCDE Project GLAD® Training.
