SECONDARY

Secondary is a Project GLAD® strand designed to support the academic, linguistic, and social-emotional needs of middle and high school emergent bilingual students, some of whom may be entering into secondary settings as long-term English learners (LTELs), newcomers or refugee students.

Grounded in research-based Project GLAD® strategies, this strand helps educators accelerate language proficiency while engaging students in rigorous, standards-aligned content and honoring their identities, cultures, and strengths. Participants learn practical strategies for integrating language development and content instruction within the unique demands of secondary classrooms.
