Description
In this unit, students will explore how the geography of the United States, as divided into the regions of Southeast, Northeast, Southwest, Midwest, and West, influenced the early economics and history of the United States of America. Students will explore the landforms and bodies of water in each region to see how they impacted the growth of population, trade, and natural resource extraction in each area.
