Ecosystems Around the World
This unit explores various ecosystems around the world through both a scientific and anthropological lens including the complex ecosystems of the Sonoran Desert, Amazon Rainforest, Great Barrier Reef, Serengeti Savanna, and the Arctic Tundra. Students will also compare and contrast different attributes of these locations, by noting their climates and natural resources. Students will also discover how the unique living inhabitants of these areas have specialized adaptations that are most suitable for their survival within these different ecosystems.
